I've just been reading Cesia Suknik's history and noticed that her mother used to make a soup with "noodles and milk". A similar soup used to be made by Debbie Smith - chicken stock, milk, lokshen and mixed vegetables - Macedoine style. She also used to put in lots of fresh peas. Due to the pea content, I used to call it pea soup but mum gently corrected me - it was milk soup. Mum used to make it and subsequently I did as well. So 3 generations of milk soup cooks.
